This modification was considered a potential replacement for the M4 Sherman equipped with the T34 Calliope rocket launcher. The M26 T99 is suited for various combat roles, including suppressing fortified positions, destroying enemy vehicles, and providing infantry support on the battlefield. The tank’s armament includes the T99 rocket system, which fires 114mm M8 rockets (44 rockets in total), as well as its standard weaponry: a 90mm M3 cannon with 70 rounds of ammunition, a 12.7mm M2HB heavy machine gun with 600 rounds, and a 7.62mm M1919A4 machine gun with 5,000 rounds.
