The world you knew is gone. You awaken as the last active Caretaker, a machine left with one directive: save humanity. Across a vast ocean covering the ruins of Earth, recover human seeds, rebuild the systems that once kept civilization alive, grow the next generation, and launch them into orbit. But a launch is not the end. The humans you save begin to build a future of their own. Their decisions reach back down to Earth, old systems wake up, and the world begins to change around the work you have done. The Last Caretaker is a first-person survival-crafting game about systems, choices, memory, and purpose. Every resource matters. Every structure has a reason to exist. Everything connects. SAVE HUMANITY Recover human seeds and return them to the Lazarus Complex. Grow new humans, restore memories of the world they never knew, and prepare them for life beyond Earth. BUILD WHAT YOU NEED Explore abandoned infrastructure, dismantle what remains, and recycle it into tools, vehicles, weapons, power networks, storage, and machines. If something exists in the world, it existed for a reason. SURVIVE YOUR WAY Fight when you need to. Avoid threats when you can. Use tools, drones, decoys, vehicles, light, machinery, and the environment itself to keep the mission alive. LAUNCH. THEN BUILD WHAT COMES NEXT. Restore launch infrastructure and send humanity back into orbit. The people you save do not disappear when the rocket leaves.
