Additionally, members 18 years and older can also earn through gameplay (minimum gameplay time is required). A Microsoft account is required to participate.
Rewards with Xbox is part of the Microsoft Rewards program. The points you earn playing games, searching on Microsoft Bing, and shopping in the Microsoft Store, all combine on your Microsoft Rewards points balance and can later be used to redeem for Xbox Gift Cards, donations, and more.

Rewards members can earn points for purchases of games, game add-ons, movies, and TV shows at the Microsoft Store.
Points are only awarded for qualifying purchases. Subscriptions and Gift Card purchases are not eligible. Purchases only qualify for one Rewards offer at a time. If you purchase an item that’s already part of a featured Rewards offer, you’ll only receive the promotional points for that featured offer. Earn up to 20,000 points per month on qualifying purchases (resets every month).

Xbox Live Rewards and your MyVIP Star Rank were transferred over to the Microsoft Rewards program on May 31, 2018. Starting October 1, 2024, your previous MyVIP Star Rank will be fully transitioned to the Microsoft Rewards rate. All members will earn points on eligible Microsoft Store purchases at a rate based on their current Microsoft Rewards level.

The Game Pass Quests program for Rewards with Xbox gives Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members opportunities to earn even more points by playing the games you love. There are now four new Quests.
