Starting September 14, 2023, Xbox Live Gold transitioned to Xbox Game Pass Core. Players will still have access to online console multiplayer, plus they got access to a new collection of over 25 great games to play on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. If you are a current Gold member, you don’t need to change anything – everything will update automatically for you.
If you have an Xbox Live Gold code, you can redeem it for Xbox Game Pass Core at a one-to-one ratio.
Xbox Game Pass Core members will continue to get member deals and discounts of up to 50% off select games.
As of September 1, players will no longer receive new games to claim monthly with Games with Gold. On September 14, the Xbox Game Pass Core catalog of over 25 high-quality games replaced Games with Gold. Players will still be able to access any Xbox One games they redeemed through Games with Gold if they remain a Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate member. Regardless of subscription status, any Xbox 360 titles redeemed via Games with Gold in the past will be kept in a player’s library.
