It was based on the popular Browning M1918 machine gun system used by law enforcement agencies during the interwar period. Its features include a pistol grip, an effective muzzle brake, and a shortened barrel for increased maneuverability. It uses 7.62mm cartridges with a 20-round magazine. The Colt Monitor combines high firepower with portability, making it an effective tool in various scenarios. The M8A1 GMC is an American experimental tank destroyer self-propelled artillery unit developed during World War II. Its key feature is mounting the 75mm M3 gun on the M8 Scott chassis, capable of engaging enemy personnel and armored targets at significant distances. It also features a 12.7mm M2HB machine gun with a 1000-round ammunition load. Positive characteristics identified during testing at the Aberdeen Proving Ground include excellent braking and acceleration capabilities, high maneuverability, and stability, despite the larger gun. However, it was not adopted due to issues with increased recoil and discomfort for the crew caused by the enlarged breech of the gun. The tank crew consists of 4 members.
