TENGAI
Description
The shrine maiden, monk, and kunoichi take to the sky in this second title to feature a Japanese-style shooter with quirky aesthetics! Tengai is a horizontal-scrolling shooter game that first appeared in arcades in 1996. Tengai builds on Psikyo's successful debut shooter game, Samurai Ace, by expanding on its quirky Japanese-style world and mainstream shooter mechanics. With diverging stages, dynamic character animations, and dramatic effects galore, this game has been finely honed to appeal to everyone! Of course, the exhilarating Psikyo Bullets are still around, too! Pick your preferred difficulty, lives, continues, key controls, and more to make the game just right for you. Don't forget about the new online rankings! Do you have what it takes to become the best Tengai in the world? Characters: Five fighters from warring states come together, guided by a blue stone. Their goal is to crush their enemies' evil plans! Rampaging Maiden "Koyori" Blonde Ninja Girl "Junis" Turbo Monk "Tengai" Vengeful Saber "Sho" Robot Samurai "Katana" Planes: "P" items power up your unit and add drones to it. "B" items give you bombs that deal area damage to clear out enemies or help with emergency escapes. Each character has a unique drone attack that is activated by charging up! Don't be afraid! The hit box is only on the upper body. ARCADE Mode: Seven difficulty tiers to cater to all levels of players—including beginners! Those looking for something more challenging than the arcade version should try out HARD and VERY HARD modes! There will be local rankings for each plane in each difficulty mode. Options: Two additional screen filters for your enjoyment. Lives can be set between 1 to 9, whereas continues can be set between 0 to infinity. Freely configure your preferred keys for shots, auto-shots, or bombs. SCORE ATTACK: This new mode has a fixed difficulty and number of lives. Serious challengers only! Submit your high scores to compete with players from around the world! Online rankings can be viewed from the options menu.
